This piece was commissioned for a clinic in Wisconsin that does research on Psilocybin as treatment for those suffering from PTSD. 

 

THE ODYSSEY OF RENEWAL

 

Here, as the Autumnal Equinox winds blow, they transform the past’s burdens into new beginnings with the promise of Spring, represented here by the emerging sapling.

 

The tree, as the centerpiece, is steadfast and grounding. Unaffected by the turbulent winds blowing through, it endures cycles of change much as we do in our own lives.

 

The root indicates the long journey made by those seeking to heal.

The various colors of the leaves freed by the wind are symbols of prior troubles now released. The leaf is then carried upward by the doves, symbols of a path from burden to freedom.

 

The movement in this piece reminds us that a commitment to action is required to achieve a new outcome.
